UTAH

We are back in Utah, trying to figure out life.
Jeremy is back in school, and we are going to have a baby this summer. It's been crazy but I'm glad we are back!
Ethan is loving kindergarten and the girls spend all there time with mom. Savannah just turned 1, It feels like she has been with us a lot longer than that!
I'm really trying to get with my soap making and get my web page up and going, with this pregnancy I got so sick at the beginning, I know if it's not one thing it's another, excuses excuses. But I have not given up!
I'm so ready for spring and all it brings with it!
More to come...sooner than later!

New Chapter

Here we are in the middle of Iowa trying to get settled.

Jeremy starts school on the 8th of August. I'm excited for us to get into a schedule.

I can't believe Ethan will be starting kindergarten this year!

Addison turns 3 tomorrow

And our sweet Savannah is 6 months old now.

Time goes to fast and I try as hard as I can to slow it down and enjoy all that is around me as much as I can because before I know it will all change.

Update on cleaners

I've been using the cleaners for awhile now and LOVE them! With the first one I've been leaving the borax out all together, it leaves a film on my table and counters.
With the air freshener I use:
1/2 C. Rubbing alcohol
1 1/2 C. water
1 1/2 - 1 teaspoons essential oils.

Right now I'm using lemongrass and orange.
It smells like spring in my house I love it!!

Another great trick I've been using is
baking soda with dish soap to make a soft scrub
to use on the sink and bath tub...works just a good as comit!

Homemade Disinfectant

We are all taking our turns being sick at the Hyde House
I feel this strong urge to disinfected our home...
I know there are good bacteria that we want around so I was trying to find something that will disinfected but not kill everything.
So this is what I found and am going to try out.
2 different recipes:

#1 Antiseptic All-Purpose Cleanser
(I'm using this in the bathroom and Kitchen)
1 teaspoon antiseptic essential oil
(I'm using cinnamon and clove)
1 teaspoon washing soda
2 teaspoons borax
1/2 teaspoons liquid soap or detergent
2 cups hot water

Mix it all well in a spray bottle
Spray and leave for a few min. so the oils can work,
then wipe up.

Storage: leave in spray bottle
Shelf life: Indefinite

#2 Surface and Air Disinfectant
( I spray and leave it on doorknobs etc. or just spray in the air)
up to 3 essential oils
14 drops or so.
( I'm using lemon and tea tree oil, I want to kill staph bacteria)
Any antiseptic essential oil will work
1/2 cup rubbing alcohol or vodka
1/2 cup distilled water

Mix in a spray bottle

Storage: leave in spray bottle
Shelf life: Indefinite.

I've only made the first one so far and hope to make the other one today once I find time to go to the store. I'm excited to try them out, I'll post soon to let you know how I liked them!
